Spielen und Sprechen
The playgroup behind After GAP Care
Spielen und Sprechen starts when the GAP day finishes, giving children another two hours to play, connect and experience German together.
It runs from 2:30pm to 4:30pm on all four GAP days at Turner Scout Hall. Children attend with a parent, carer or babysitter, making it both a relaxed afternoon playgroup and a practical option for GAP families who need care beyond 2:30pm.

Two ways to make the afternoon work
After GAP finishes at 2:30pm, children can join Spielen und Sprechen until 4:30pm. Because it is a playgroup rather than an extension of GAP’s childcare hours, each child needs to attend with a supervising adult.
Attend with your child
Spielwelt members can join Spielen und Sprechen and supervise their child themselves.
There is a small fee of $5 per week to help cover hall hire and craft supplies.
Arrange a babysitter
If you need childcare after GAP, we can help connect you with German-speaking babysitters who can accompany your child to Spielen und Sprechen.
A babysitter can supervise up to three children, allowing families to share the cost. Babysitting arrangements and fees are agreed directly with the babysitter.
