Thursday/Friday Head Teacher

Do you love teaching children German? Do you enjoy working with children with love and care, heart and soul? Do you want a whole lot less paperwork than big childcare centres require (and therefore more time to dedicate quality time to the children)? Then the the German/English program on Thursdays/Fridays is for you! We are offering 2 days/week: Thursdays and Fridays, 9:05am to 3:45pm. There is also the possibility of further work on Mondays and Tuesdays. This is a CSE Level 4 role, and you will be working as a teacher in the Playschool class. Impress us with an inspiring session delivered at our morning circle (as part of your interview process). You must hold a Diploma or Degree qualification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Children’s services, Sozialpädagogik, or similar. Ideally, you have prior children’s services or early childhood teaching experience. Your spoken German should be fluent enough to work with children and families.

Casual staff

Do you love spending time with kids? Do you want to put your German language skills to good use in Canberra? Do you want to work occasionally at the GAP or one of our facilitated playgroups? We are looking for lovely casual staff who can fill in for staff when they are sick or on holidays. This could be at relatively short notice, or with some advance notice. We can offer shifts during GAP (9:05-3:45pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays) or for our before- and after-GAP activities (7:30am-9:15am; or 3:30pm-5:30pm on GAP days).
