Clothing and Toy Swaps

Twice a year, as part of our Keen-to-be-Green initative, Spielwelt members can take advantage of our children’s clothing (and toy) swaps.

Parents are encouraged to donate quality children’s clothing (sizes 00000-12) their child has outgrown, AND / OR  browse through the many donations and take whatever they like for free.  You don’t need to donate in order to take home what you would like: just help us recycle clothes and give them new homes.

Watch for the email to parents letting you know when you can start bringing clothes (and toys) in.

Clothing / toy tables are usually set up in the east foyer (the coat hook/red hat room) or outdoors, for two weeks, for parents to browse. (Feel free to help us keep the tables tidy and sorted, as you browse. )

If you don’t find anything suitable one day, check back the next day or week, as fresh items will have arrived.

The swaps are held twice a year:

June Clothing Swap: In the two weeks leading up to Lantern Walk.

November Clothing and Toy Swap: In the two weeks leading up to Oktoberfest (which is in early November, in time for Christmas toys)

Thanks to our committee’s “Keen to be Green” officer for organising this.

Anything left over will be sorted and donated to our nominated charity Round About Canberra, or to Salvos or Vinnies. Enjoy!
